With over 13 years in the industry, I founded Willow & Birch Salon in Uptown Ankeny in 2026. I wanted to create a collective where stylists can all be their own bosses while still growing together in a creative, supportive community.
Within Willow & Birch, my personal studio- Lux Salon Studio, the focus is entirely on you. I specialize in blonding, extensions, and bridal hair. I want you to feel truly heard when you’re in my chair—which is why I’ll always give you the honest truth about what’s best for the health and longevity of your hair.
I’m always my genuine self, whether I’m at work or at home. My family is my first priority, and when I’m not behind the chair, you can find me: tackling a home improvement project, getting lost in a good book, and hanging out with my husband, kids and dogs.

I have over 6 years of experience behind the chair and 4 years of those years with owning my own business. My goal with every appointment is to make you feel your absolute best. I specialize in creating a customized color and cut that fits your style and needs. I am here to listen and help bring your hair visions to life. I love blonding, lived in colors, extensions, and bridal hair and makeup!
Building close relationships with my clients is one of my favorite parts of what I do. I cherish every opportunity to hear your stories, relate to your experiences, and connect with you along the way!

Hi, I'm Megan! I specialize in fine hair color and seamless extensions. This creates fuller, healthier-looking hair with natural, low-maintenance results!
Early on in my career, I realized how many woman shared the same frustrations with fine hair that I experienced myself! That inspired me to pursue a more advanced education and specialize in fine hair. I am now an extension educator and I am committed to continuous learning to keep your hair as healthy as it can be. My goal is for you to leave feeling more confident than when you walked in.
When I'm not in the salon, you'll usually find me exploring new places, spending time with family, enjoying a dirty soda or couch rotting with my dog watching reality TV.

I am passionate about growing my skills and making sure every client feels heard and leaves the salon looking and feeling their best. With that passion, I love blonding, lived in color looks and all over colors!
When I'm not behind the chair, you'll find me spending quality time with my family, hanging out with friends, enjoying the outdoors, or catching up on reality TV- I love the drama! I also love a good true crime documentary.
